How I met Trip…
Interesting how life’s events come to pass. On a rainy day in Portland, my dearest friend, JJ, said, “Hey, do you think you’re ready to be the proud Mommy of a cute kitty?” My response, “YES”! JJ knew I was recovering from the loss of my two kitties, Girly-Girl and Ivan. Knowing the subject was delicate, JJ brought me Trip, and I am forever thankful for that moment.
Trip came into my life for a reason. He has taught me patience and to find pleasure within simple acts. He is simple joy and love all wrapped into one.

On the outside, I have an innate ability to promote and have had great success connecting people. I enjoy travel and see it as a window to the world’s soul. I am an NPR junky and love listening to This American Life and Radio Lab. I strive to find the balance between being business savvy and creatively courageous.
On the inside, I am intuitive, compassionate and caring. I operate best when I’m centered in serenity. I dream of connecting people with their higher selves and guides, and being a voice of insight and encouragement. My strength comes with knowing that when I jump off the cliff the net will appear. My faith comes with believing. My favorite thing to share is a good laugh.

This site is new – not yet defined, but, this is what I can share … it’s in the journey where we find our destination, it’s in the journey where we find true love, it’s in the journey where we learn we aren’t meant to do it alone. I may not know where I’m going, or this site, but I know this: I”M GOING TO HANG ON FOR THE RIDE.
If one person visits this site and leaves feeling better, then I’ve done what I have set out to do. Here you’ll find the Universal Truths (cards) that is part of my everyday life. They shed Light, offering a refreshing perspective. Pick a card a day along the journey and watch for magic.

I’ve always wondered, is a blog a collaborative effort? Is it just the lone blogger
behind the computer, typing away, only coming up for air when coffee images collide with every thought? Well, I’m new at this and can only speak for myself… alone I will type, but I’m not the “lone wolf”, I have a pack giving many supportive, gentle nudges saying…

Because of loving, creative, inspiring, fun friends, I have decided to get the pen moving, so to speak, and give this blog a go. So, I would like to thank…
Two very special people in my world, that have always been there, since the beginning, Davey-Dave and Mike-E-Man. Your adventures were contagious. Through your stories, I knew there was a magical world to explore and experience. Adventures were waiting to be had, but more importantly, shared. I could write a journal on our adventures of fun travels, kayaking spills, beach days, party nights and long stretches of just walking. Oh, the memories! Without me knowing, you both kept me navigating forward while believing in myself.
Mykel where would I be without our insightful exchanges? You are a light in my life.
How does it get any better than that? I am always ready to ride on the wings of our conversations, which take me a step inward only to expand like a wave of particles dancing in the sunlight.
JJ, how will I ever repay you? It is because of your loving thoughtfulness that I find myself being mommy to the coolest, very fun, totally expressive, oh so talkative and adoring Kitty in town. Trip, is my “handsome boy “ and the love in my life. He warms my heart.
Trip, because of you, my furry companion, I have opened my heart once again to depths that I couldn’t have imagined. You have set the stage to learning how to communicate with my furry friends, seeing wonder in the world of hummingbirds, birdies, lizards and insects. You have taught me patience to connect with the simple acts.
For my soul companion, Jayne, who never got tired of listening to my brainstorming sessions that consumed all waking hours. With loving support, you gave me space and respite from a journey of too many tales. You are such a surprise! I am in a better place because of you…I could go on, but will stop here.
There are so many others… Craig, the gift “purple cow” is inspiring and your technical expertise dazzling, Sweeney your friendship is absolutely everything, Teresa, you are an angel that adjusts my compass to flow for the stream of creative consciousness path to resume and Therese, your cheerful smile and loving perspective have lifted my spirits to new heights.
And finally, I dedicate this blog to Girly-girl and Ivan, my angels, that brought me smiles and tears. No matter what distance is between us, I love and miss you both. Since I believe in miracles, I will never give up on finding you. I pray that God has graced you in sunlight and rolling pastures to feel safe and loved.
Well, I would really love to thank my Editor, because I need one…. So, in advance, I am thanking my Editor that will soon be guiding my words to tell a seem-less tale of the best kind… the journey from the mind back to the heart. That, I must say, has to be the longest journey of all….or is it? Maybe it can happen in an instant!
